DSC’s Director of Field Operations Andrew Snyder was a part of the 15th graduating class of the MB ‘EYE’ on the Future leadership program. The graduating class of 21 individuals, representing 20 different MBI member companies throughout the state, met on 6 different occasions for 6 consecutive months in 6 different cities. The class furthered their skills in the areas of public speaking, communication, meeting management, and personal leadership. In addition, they worked together to assist the industry through a class project that provided resources and suggestions for MBI’s workforce initiative in the areas of workforce retention and workforce recruitment.
This program offers attendees an opportunity to become more involved as current and future leaders of the construction industry in Iowa, while also focusing on communication and stepping outside of their comfort zones.
MB EYE on the Future is the only program that MBI offers that has an application process, which requires an employer recommendation and selection procedure. Participants are nominated by their company’s executive management and complete an application for consideration in the program. Careful consideration of all nominations and applications is then made by a selection committee.
