What started as a single truck sales business over twenty years ago in Waterloo, Iowa, has grown to become Harrison Truck Centers with locations throughout Iowa and Minnesota. When Harrison Truck Centers needed to expand their location in Clear Lake in 2008, they turned to Dean Snyder Construction for design-build services. Now, as Harrison Truck Centers prepares to update their corporate branding, they once again turned to DSC for design-build services.
Together with ATURA architecture, our design-build team has been working in the Harrison Truck Centers Altoona location, expanding the facility’s operations. Last fall, DSC broke ground on the first of several phases with phase one including a Sukup pre-engineered 85’ x 100’ steel building addition to house quick lane/express service bays for their trucks. This new addition will allow for their clients to drop off semi-trucks in a designated area and have easy in and out repairs completed.
Crews will also be remodeling a portion of the existing building to include a service write-up area. The next phases include more service bays, an office expansion, and a detail building. Phase 1 is set to be completed this summer.
