DSC has started on a new 9,176 SF Kwik Star in Johnston, Iowa. This location includes one detached 1,949 SF carwash. Crews are currently working on drywall finishes and will be tiling the store in early July. DSC crews will be in-stalling casework by end of July, and the store opening is slated for September 5.
The Webster City, Iowa, Kwik Star is a 9,176 SF store and will be the second one in town. Crews are currently finishing up framing the building and paving the site. DSC crews will be installing the coolers/freezer boxes next week, and roofing will begin as well. Opening day is scheduled for October 3.
Located less than a mile off Interstate 80 on the north side of Mitchellville, Iowa, will be a 14,383 SF Kwik Star Truck Stop with a 420 SF gator shed. Fuel tanks were installed this week, and footings/foundations for the truck stop are underway. The building underground will begin next week. Also with next week having a holiday, DSC pushed ahead and was able to get the fuel tanks installed a week ahead of normal schedule to avoid any delays. Opening day is slated for December 19. This project will be the largest Kwik Star that DSC has worked on in our 9-year partnership, during which we’ve built or remodeled over 25 stores.
Starting on July 15, DSC will take on a 9,176 SF Kwik Star in south Sioux City, Iowa. This location will include a 1,949 SF detached car wash. Opening day is scheduled for December 19. This will be the first Kwik Star in Sioux City.
