DSC donated their time and crane to place a 16-ton rock, which will become the Cerro Gordo County Freedom Rock, near 8th Street and Main Avenue on Monday morning in Clear Lake. The rock measures approximately 11’ long and is 7’ wide and high. Iowa native Ray Michael Sorensen II will travel to Clear Lake in August to paint a patriotic scene on the rock. Crews returned to also place flag poles near the rock.
