Project Description
Dean Snyder Construction has completed the new $14 million, 23,000-square-foot Mason City Municipal Airport (MCW) Passenger Replacement Terminal. The original terminal, built in 1965 on the foundation of a former farmhouse, remained operational until the new facility became fully functional. Located directly west of the existing terminal, the new facility enabled the airport to maintain uninterrupted operations throughout construction.
The new terminal includes a modernized security checkpoint, increased gate hold space for travelers, an expanded aircraft parking apron, and upgraded offices for airlines, bus lines, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and airport administration. The parking lot has also doubled in size, offering enhanced convenience for passengers.
