Project Description
New four-story precast fiber mill.
Throughout the winter of 2012 and into the fall of 2013, DSC crews erected a new 31,662 SF mill facility. Four stories tall (68’) with two stair wells, the mill’s foundation mat is 4’ thick and sits on 500 geo piers. Each column is capable of holding up to 1 million lbs of weight and is being erected by crews using a Triple 9, 300-ton crawler crane. This new building also features a 5,062 SF precast warehouse with the precast furnished and designed by Wells Concrete. Each piece of precast can weigh up to 46,000 lbs.
