To help clear up confusion as to where the main entrance is to the Clear Lake High School, Dean Snyder Construction broke ground in Spring 2016 on a $2.1 million renovation project. The new entrance is covered, more accessible with less number of exterior steps, more secure, and more visible to the public. Their main office was located on the other side of the building and will be turned into space for counseling, health, and meetings.
Also included in the renovation project was an expansion of the school’s kitchen. The remodel doubled the current space, allowed for updated equipment to be installed, and for more space in the serving and dining area. Previously there was only space for 125 students during a lunch period. The new space allows for 175.
