In 2001, Dean Snyder Construction built the 40-apartment Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living in Mason City for Good Shepherd, Inc, a premier provider of senior living services in North Iowa. Good Shepherd, Inc. is a premier provider of senior living services in North Iowa and wanted to expand their services with a neighborhood-style assisted living facility. From 2001-2002, Dean Snyder Construction built the 40-apartment Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living in Mason City. The beautiful one-story facility includes a chapel, beauty salon, garage stalls and full commercial kitchen.
As a true builder, DSC crews self-performed footings, wood framing, and casework. Each beautiful unit at Kentucky Ridge is handicap accessible and is fully equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The project also included geothermal heating and cooling to lower operating costs of the building.
In April 2009, Good Shepherd again trusted DSC to construct a 21-unit addition. As a true builder, DSC crews self-performed footings, wood framing, and casework. Each beautiful unit at Kentucky Ridge is handicap accessible and is fully equipped with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The project also included geothermal heating and cooling and a retaining wall. The experience and knowledge of DSC’s staff allowed construction to be completed adjacent to the existing facility with minimal disruption.
