We chose Snyder for our expansion because we sensed they would be responsive to the challenges of remodeling a church building that's in use 6-7 days a week. This was the right call. Both the project managers and onsite staff were extremely responsive to our unique needs as a community of faith. They not only repeatedly went above and beyond to provide safe passage around renovation areas, they dealt with our members and guests with professionalism and care. They were truly partners in this project and in ministry over these past two years.
Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa, identified key features of their church that needed more space or updated and then set out for a capital campaign fundraiser. Selected as their general contractor, Dean Snyder Construction was there to help break ground in July 2018 on a new three-story 8,550 SF addition.
Broken into two phases, this project helped solve space issues and provides additional room for educational offerings. The project included tearing down an existing entry way between the church and their attached education wing for a new welcoming/gathering space on the main level. A new elevator was installed to provide full accessibility to the education wing and to the front of the sanctuary. The new addition also provides additional space for their youth group, a larger choir/music room, offices, and small groups. A sheltered drop-off space was built for safer entry during adverse weather. The sanctuary also received HVAC updates and improved technology.
