Collaborative Construction Management for Project Success

At Dean Snyder Construction, we believe that a successful project stems from mutual respect, effective communication, and seamless collaboration. Understanding your project’s goals, challenges, and expectations is critical to ensuring a smooth, efficient, and cost-effective construction process.

As your Construction Manager (CM), DSC serves as your advocate and liaison, working closely with the project’s design firm, contractors, and subcontractors to provide expert coordination, administration, and oversight. Our construction management services are particularly well-suited for large, complex projects, where owners benefit from supplementing their in-house staff with our seasoned construction professionals.

We take pride in working hand-in-hand with our clients, bringing industry expertise, strategic planning, and proactive problem-solving to deliver exceptional results.

Your Trusted Owner’s Representative

As construction projects grow in complexity, many owners lack the internal resources to manage every aspect of design, engineering, and construction. That’s where DSC’s Construction Management Services come in. Acting as an extension of your team, we provide expert guidance, oversight, and leadership to ensure your project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Our proven approach has been effective in both public and private sectors, helping owners streamline decision-making, reduce risk, and maximize value.

Construction Management Service Models

Dean Snyder Construction offers two primary approaches to construction management:

Agency Construction Management (CMa)

Ideal for large, complex public projects, Agency CM provides coordination, administration, and management services while the owner holds all trade contracts. This approach allows for transparency and direct control over subcontractor relationships while leveraging DSC’s expertise to guide the project successfully.

Construction Management at Risk (CMaR)

More commonly used in the private sector, CMaR provides all the benefits of Agency CM, with an added layer of responsibility. In this model, DSC holds the trade contracts, assumes accountability for project performance, and guarantees construction costs and schedules – offering owners greater peace of mind and cost certainty.

Additionally, the State of Iowa now allows CMaR on public projects, giving public entities another procurement method that leverages construction expertise early in the process. This allows for better cost control, risk management, and streamlined project delivery, while still maintaining competitive bidding and transparency. By engaging DSC as your CMaR, you gain a trusted partner committed to maximizing value and ensuring the success of your project from preconstruction through completion.

Regardless of the project’s complexity or delivery method, DSC’s Construction Management Team brings the leadership, expertise, and commitment necessary to turn your vision into reality.
